Achieved an independent rating from its customers as the most efficient car carrying company in South Africa. Enabled customers to track their vehicles on-line, which has proven to be very popular. Established a 24 hour control room which monitors movement of the entire VDS fleet as well as nationwide storage yard activities on a real-time basis.
• Upgraded fleet capacity
Dramatically increased the size of its service fleet to over 250 modern trucks and trailers. Enhanced the flexibility of the fleet to accommodate specialised abnormal vehicles. Ensured high quality fleet maintenance on a 24 hour basis. Maintenance is undertaken in-house and contributes in a very real way towards reliable customer service.

Upgraded its national storage capacity for vehicles to accommodate in excess of 20 000 vehicles.

Installed state-of-the-art security in separately enclosed transit facilities in Kempton Park, Cape Town, East London and Gqeberha. Enabled efficient 24 hour vehicle satellite tracking.
• Established a peerless IT system
Substantially improved the level of IT support infrastructure. It's peerless software, hardware and skilled people allows for a system of bar coding, tracking and direct interfacing with the IT systems of clients.

A full comprehensive insurance offering. A full clearing capability. Bond and road bond facilities. Developed a simple but effective manner to deal with claims that arise out of the ordinary course of business. This is executed by a dedicated claims department.
